This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten class consists of 22 highly energized students who come to school ready to learn each and every day! I absolutely love teaching the littlest minds and creating opportunities for my students to have fun while learning. Our days are filled with interactive, hands-on experiences where they discover and let their imagination and creativity shine.

Sometimes, big emotions can occur when teaching the littlest learners, and students need a moment to refocus.

Our classroom has a calm-down corner, which is a safe space for them to go to when they feel their emotions are running too high. With your help, I would love to add some comforting tools and soothing objects that can promote mindfulness, breathing, and reflection. These tools will assist in their deescalation when they're feeling overstimulated.
