My Project

My third and fourth grade students come to my room to learn science, but aren't always ready to go. Often at least once or twice a day I have a student ask to use my calming corner before beginning their learning. They bring with them a bad math class, a tough time with a friend at recess, or worries from home.

These calming tools will help our students regulate their emotions and be ready to learn.

Once they're ready, I need to have all the pencils, markers, coloring tools, and gluesticks available for them to focus on their science work - we do a lot of gluing in our science notebooks, drawing diagrams, and writing our thoughts and ideas of what we learn!
