My Project

As a first-year Behavior Specialist, my goal is to create a strong foundation of resources that will support my youngest learners in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Many of my students need sensory tools and fidgets to help them regulate their emotions, stay engaged in the classroom, and feel successful throughout the day. Having access to the right tools, such as a bean bag chair, calm strips, and more, at the right time can make the difference between frustration and focus, or between feeling overwhelmed and being ready to learn.

This project will allow me to build a “bank” of sensory items that students and teachers can access whenever extra support is needed.

By providing calming fidgets, tactile tools, and sensory-friendly resources, I hope to give each child the opportunity to thrive academically and socially. These resources will not only benefit students this year but will also continue to support future learners as they grow, explore, and develop the skills they need to succeed.
