My Students

I have incredibly curious and kind students. For most, this is their first year in school so they are excited and a little nervous. They are learning to be leaders in our classroom, school, and community. They want to do their best academically and socially. This year, I hope for them to learn how to be independent, responsible, encouraging, empathetic, and motivated. They deserve the best first school-year experience where they have the opportunity to grow emotionally, academically, and socially.

My Project

The carpet and large pillows will allow my students to sit differently than a traditional classroom. This will be a spacious place where students can sit comfortably to complete work. The taupe carpet and sky blue pillows give a positive and calm work environment. This type of work environment will allow students to stay focused and complete their work.

These materials will not only allow a calm work environment, but it can also be used for a "take a break" space or a "vacation station." This type of space can be used when students feel upset or frustrated.

It can be a place to calm down and get into a ready-to-learn state.
