They are kind, responsible, well behaved, and good role models to the rest of our school!
I come to school each day excited to teach and ready to be my best because of them. I really want to provide them with an excellent reading area so they can do what they love so much!
My Project
Reading is something that we do everyday in my classroom. I want to make it fun and enjoyable for my students so they develop a passion for reading that will continue throughout their school career.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
The items that I have requested will go a long way in keeping my students motivated and interested in reading. I am requesting chapter books for my kids who are reading above the first grade level so they can grow in their reading. I will use them in groups so they can collaborate and discuss what they are reading with their peers. The wobble cushions will be offered to students, so they may read where they are comfortable. The book bins will give each students the opportunity to store books that are just right for them. No more choosing from a book shelf picking books that are too hard or too easy for their level.
My students will be able to have a comfortable place to read, plenty of book options, and a place to store all of their books! Your generous donation to our project will improve our 1st grade classroom by building stronger readers, writers, and thinkers.
