Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In our school we have a large ESOL population and they are an enthusiastic group of learners! My class is very passionate about all things literacy: writing, reading, listening and speaking. My student's favorite part of the day is Writer's Workshop because they are creative and love to write about everything they we have learned.
Any new book whether it be a read aloud or a book they can read independently, will make their day!
With all of this knowledge and the right resources, I know that they will be ready for first grade and beyond!
My Project
These items that I have selected will make my Kindergarteners day! Whenever it is time to read a new read loud, my class can't contain their excitement! Just looking at the front cover of a book they have never seen or read before makes them burst at the seems. Receiving all these new read alouds will make the happiest kindergarteners ever!
I can't wait to see their faces if we receive these read alouds, it will make my day!
Besides the read alouds I selected, the colored Expo markers are a must in our classroom. We use them during math all day, every day! Using the different colored markers to differentiate between shapes or other objects really helps all learners in our classroom. There are even more volunteers to participate and come up to the board to try a problem out because the colors make it more engaging for them.
