My Students

This year I am embarking on a new journey of working with 25 wonderful 2nd graders at my school! I am so excited for this new challenge! With this new and exciting change, I am in desperate need to update my classroom library in order to support my class. My classroom is a group of diverse students who have different interest and abilities. I am hoping to inspire my students and build their love of reading by giving them access to an amazing classroom library!

My Project

My classroom library will be a place where my students will love to go! It will give them exposure and access to various high-interest and engaging books that will help them become better and strong readers. The books will instill a love of reading and create life long learners. Students will also improve their reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary and writing. These awesome books will also help me ensure that my students are meeting the Common Core Reading Standards.

The books that I have chosen will meet the varied reading levels in my classroom and make them fall in love with reading!
