Calendar Time Connects Students With Real Life Math
My students need a Math Calendar Activity Program, 1-100 Pocket Chart, Geometric Shapes, Shape Matching Activity, Word Problem Matching Activity and a Class Set of Ten Frames.
My first-grade students are bright, energetic, and excited to learn. Most of my students become more engaged with colorful, interesting and updated materials that provide visual support for our lessons. My students love to spend time learning!
Our school serves students in grades K-5 and provides rigorous academics, dedicated teachers, and a safe learning environment.

My Project
The Calendar Math Activity will provide students with real life examples of how we use numbers and number patterns in our daily lives. The ten frames will allow students to use a hands on approach to solving math problems.
A wide variety of lessons can be taught and reinforced with calendar activities.
Including the number grid to our activity will help add even more visually effective support for number recognition and learning how numbers work.
The wooden geometric shapes will help students learn about the ways we can categorize shapes. They will be able to interact with the shapes and use them to learn to differentiate between three dimensional and two dimensional shapes.
