My Students

My students attend a Title I Math/Science and Technology school where students are actively engaged in STEM and STEAM activities that help create a well rounded learner.We are a technology driven school however, many of our items have been used and abused for many years and need an update.

Our classroom needs a new set of calculators for our students to use on a daily basis.

Currently in our classroom I only have 24 working calculators with 31 students. Therefore, many students go without.

My Project

I've chosen to ask for a new set of scientific calculators for my students to use. The set I currently have many are broken and or damaged from years of use. I currently only have 24 working calculators and I have 31 students in most of my classes. Therefore, many of my students throughout the day go without.

Having a new set of calculators will help boost my students confidence in math!

When barriers are removed in the classroom, students preform at a higher level and are able to be more successful mathematical students.

Having a new set of calculators will allow all of my students equitable learning to drive the students thinking forward. Students will also become proficient in using the calculators to help prepare for state standardized testing.
