My Project

Calculators are an important part of a high school math class, and I find that every year there are students who are not able to bring their own. I usually keep a class set, but the Dollar Store calculators have a shelf-life of about a year. They break easily, have buttons that get stuck, and they run out of battery power.

Students would greatly benefit from calculators that are easy to use, long-lasting, and durable.

At the high school level, these calculators need to be able to do more than basic functions, and still handle being dropped accidentally in the classroom. The TI 30X calculators are great because they are durable and solar powered so they don't run out of battery power. Thank you for helping to fund a much needed item in this 11th grade math classroom.
