This school year I will be teaching Algebra 1A to students with a variety of learning styles and needs. While cleaning and organizing my classroom I realized that we only had 5 working calculators. This is unacceptable for a population of students who already struggle in a variety of realms in education. Funding is limited and your donation would help my students fully access the curriculum like their peers. Teaching students the foundations of math and helping them be successful, motivated, and positive contributors to society are my goals as their teacher and case carrier. Please consider making a donation (even a small amount will help) as I embark on this new endeavor. Thank you!!!!
My Project
Linear equations, y-intercepts, slopes, and exponents galore!! Remember those days? Buying a fancy Texas Instrument calculator for math class to figure out multistep equations and graphing lines and parabolas. Now imagine doing so without a calculator and not being able to afford one? Maybe that was your experience. Imagine you have a specific learning disability that hinders your ability to fully understand basic concepts and academic language and still no calculator. I want my students to feel successful and meet grade level standards while accommodating to their needs. Please consider helping me do so. Your donation will help students for many years to come! Your donation is GREATLY appreciated.
