My Students

In our school, my students strive to be well-rounded people who understand concepts like responsibility, perseverance, compassion, and integrity. We have diverse abilities and diverse learning needs.

My kids, who are learning about making good choices and what that means, work hard every day to be the best versions of themselves they can be.

We work on developing a love for English, Math, and Science in my classroom! The kids are excited to come to school every day, and they can't wait to learn something new!

My Project

When we were in school, we weren't allowed to use calculators on our math assignments, especially not tests! We developed our mental math skills but secretly longed for a tool to complete our math assignments faster. Today's students study math at a faster pace than students have in the past. My sixth graders are doing pre-algebra, basic geometry, and statistics. They need to build familiarity with calculators and entering expressions correctly. My students are allowed to use calculators on their state tests, so they need to practice in an every day setting in order to be well prepared to succeed on their state exam!
