Calculating a Bright Future

My students need access to TI-84 calculators to use throughout my class and to prepare them better for high school and college classes.

My Students

I teach at a low-income school and the students I teach have such a love for learning. I teach 7th and 8th grade math. I have seen these students create friendships and stand up to students that are not doing the right thing. Not only are they brilliant, but they are kind and compassionate.

These students are learners, explorers, and all around wonderful kids.

Although math may not always be their favorite subject, they are hardworking and persevere through problems.

My Project

The TI-84 calculators will be used throughout all four of my math classes. These calculators have been used in my advanced classes but I never had enough to also use in my regular math classes. With your donation, you will help not only fund theses calculators but also help me get my students ready for high school and college classes.

TI-84 calculators are commonly used calculators through high school and college classes and having access to learn how to use them in middle school really gives my students an advantage no matter what their socioeconomic background is.

I want to work to bridge that gap and give the same opportunity to all of my students.
