Help me give my students TI84 graphing calculators to enable them to make computations that will make them successful in our academic learning environment.
Many of my students come from a low socio-economical and challenging environment. The class consist of a mixture of boys and girls that work very hard to complete any math task asked of them.
However, to give my students the same opportunity as our neighboring schools , it was important for my students to be exposed to using quality calculators that would allow them to graph and calulate equations with accuracy.
By having a class sets of calculators, all students will have the same opportunity for success.
My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in Math education. To help motivate my math students, my students must become fluent in the use of calculators to solve mathematical equations and to check their answers. The process of learning to use graphing calculators requires the students to experience the process by using the TI-84 graphing calculator. The use of the TI-84 would help the students enhance the students ability to solve some of the most difficult equations easily because of the advance features on the TI84 calculator. I
In addition, mathematics is often not the most interesting subject for students, but though ever changing technology, struggling students often learn by using different modalities.
Therefore, the use of the TI84 would afford the students the ability they need for our math class challenges. My students will love getting their hands on the latest TI84.
