I mostly teach Juniors in high school; they begin to feel the stress and weight of making sure they do well in class. I love the students I teach because they keep me on my toes. Many of them struggle with math, and a lot of students will tell me the class I taught them was the best class they ever had.
Every day I come to class I know I am going to be cheered up by my students in some way.
Many of my students struggle with math in some way so having calculators and headphones in the classroom would help them during the learning process.
My Project
Students who miss days and need to learn concepts before they can learn the current day's material could learn it without everyone else hearing in the classroom with this class set of headphones. The calculators will be used in class and for some will be checked out if they don't have access to one.
Many students miss lessons and feel lost when they come back, but with the help of these headphones, they will be able to catch up by watching videos and listening to a video a teacher made while everyone else is learning the current material.
When we do extensions and students are working at their own pace they would be able wear these new headphones to listen to the videos we have without a lot of background noise. I could even loan the calculators out to those students who don't have one for them to do homework at home.
