I am over the moon that I made the move from Third grade to Kindergarten! What an incredibly special time we are having exploring our new classroom, making new friends, learning how to use scissors, and understanding what school means. Our school mascot is a lion, so I have lovingly named by little lions "cubs". My KinderCubs are excited to be in school and each day they arrive with great stories of how they connected yesterday's letter sound to the outside world. There is no end to the excitement and joy found in my Kindergarten class!
The classroom culture that my students and I have created is considerate, grateful, and quick to celebrate others' successes.
I am so proud of the way they help and encourage each other. Because of this, I would love to surprise my class with matching baseball caps. These would continue to foster the team spirit we are building. Our PTA assigns each class a color to wear (we are red) on all school event days. These all school events are coming up and these red matching hats will help my KinderCubs find their classmates in the crowd.
My Project
Kindergarteners need to know they belong and are valued as an important team member. My Kinder Cubs will know this when I surprise them with matching team spirit hats to wear. We can all wear our matching hats on Fridays.
Science Day and Field Day are all school events and my Kindergarteners won't get lost in the crowds when we are all wearing our matching team hats.
Kinders usually stay on our own side of campus, but when we move to the main area during school events, my students can get lost in the crowd. Wearing our team hats will not only help us look and feel like a team, they will keep my little cubs with me as we move across campus on busy event days.
