My Students

My students are from a small town in Upstate, SC. Our school has a high-poverty population, thus many students and teachers do not have adequate resources at the school. Our project focuses solely on technology. My students thrive on using technology in the classroom. They are very eager to research topics of interest, practice math skills, and prepare for college and the work force later in life. I know this project would be a big hit with my second grade students!

My Project

Each year, my students come to me relying more and more on technology to grow their learning. At a young age, students are exposed to a variety of digital tools such as computers, iPads, cell phones, and video game consoles. I believe in reaching students using the tools that they are most comfortable with.

Using Chromebooks, my students will be able to research topics of interest, read and listen to stories online, practice math problems, and even strengthen their typing skills.

My students already thrive on using technology whenever they can. I know these Chromebooks will be just what they need to become college and career ready!
