The class of 2018 has been working hard all year to submit college and financial aid applications. In fact, approximately 92% of our seniors submitted at least one college application, with many submitting multiple. As May 1st approaches, our students are beginning to decide what their next steps will be. Our graduating seniors will be doing a variety of things including attending two or four year colleges, serving in a branch of the military, heading straight to the workforce or participating in an apprenticeship. We can't wait to see the amazing things they will accomplish!
My Project
As senior finish up their final weeks of high school, they are looking towards their next steps. To celebrate their decisions we will be holding a Decision Day event. During this event, items will be raffled off to seniors. It can be expensive for students to stock their new dorm rooms and apartments, so our hope is to get students started. The mini fridges are perfect for students who will be living in residence halls, and the coffee makers will help students through long days of studying. The backpacks will be stuffed with school supplies to ease the burden on these things students will need for classes.
