My Students

My students are so open and ready to learn a foreign language. They want to immerse themselves in conversation, communication, and culture. Since middle school is, for 95% of them, their first exposure to foreign language study, I want to make their experience unforgettable!

The students at my school come from a diverse background of ethnicities and income.

I want to level the playing field for all my students whether they can afford their own device or not. I believe that my students would greatly benefit from the use of personal devices in my classroom.

My Project

I am a middle school foreign language teacher. My students are excited for me to bring the world of language learning to them. Although I am a veteran teacher, I realize that my students enjoy the kinds of technology in the classroom that they are used to at home. Not all of my students can afford a mobile device or a tablet to bring to class for Bring Your Own Device Day.

This project will allow students, who do not own their own tablet, to use my classroom set of tablets for instructional purposes at school.

They can access games, online quizzes, tutorials, and a wealth of other information to enhance their foreign language learning experience. I am requesting donations so that my class can have ten Kindle Fire tablets available for students to use to enhance their learning.
