Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Readers are leaders! I am dedicated to giving my students the very best opportunity to reach their potential by becoming strong readers and lifelong learners.

Some of the students in my designated high-poverty school come from areas outside our school boundaries because we are an "overflow" school.

Due to budget cuts, my school enrolls and buses in students whose home school in our district is at capacity. We have students with wide variances in reading abilities and skills, and many have attended several schools by second grade. In addition, we teach students whose primary language is not English.

My Project

I am asking for 2 Nook Color Tablets and covers. These e-readers will not only allow me to download new and exciting books for my students to read and listen to, but also bring reading apps that my students can use to interact with their learning in super high tech ways! How motivating is that?

Thank you for your consideration in bringing this technology to my classroom.

I firmly believe that this technology will help my students have fun with their learning and increase their achievement. Thank you, also, for helping to bring another avenue for learning to my precious second graders!
