My Students

Our school is a neighborhood school in the heart of Missouri. Our school is in an older part of our city, near a historic university. Much of our student population is from various minorities. Our school is classified as 100 % free or reduced price lunch and 100% Title 1, both of which are indications of our students having high-risk needs. Our staff strives to encourage positive growth in learning, social skills, and emotional regulation. Our schools is a caring and supportive place to learn.

My Project

The 2.25 Button and Badge Machine Kit and supplies will be a fun activity for our existing Makerspace in our school library. We call our Makerspace area Creation Station. It is a student-centered place for students to create and explore with materials.

With this product, students will be able to design their own artwork and create a button with that artwork.

They can wear their buttons, pin them on their backpacks, or give them to friends. This activity will encourage student creativity and students will feel pride in their creation. We currently have nothing like this button-making machine in our school.
