Help me give my students the ability to witness the life cycle of butterflies. My students are so curious and have never experienced watching a live change from caterpillar to butterfly.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are awesome. They come to school everyday ready for a day of learning and fun. They soak up so much knowledge and amaze me everyday with how much they love being at school and wanting to learn new things.
We do many engaging and hands on experiences.
I want to give them those experiences.
My students come from an economic deprived area. Our school is awarded a grant for fresh fruits and vegetables. The students get to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables they normally wouldn't be able to find at your local grocery store. Our school also provides free lunch and breakfast to every student.
My Project
My students will be able to dive into butterfly science. We will be able to reference books and examples of the life cycle and species of butterflies. I have butterfly slides that connect to a microscope that they can look through on our classroom monitor. They can see up close what the wings look magnified. There are blow up stages of the butterfly to help students visualize the different stages and size comparison. They will also have the butterfly kit which comes with the caterpillars, net, and food.
Students will experience first hand the changes a butterfly goes through.
My students will be so excited to have this new experience.
