My Students

We are a high school life skills class, we focus on vocational and daily life skills. We currently work at our local food bank, Fred Meyer, and Value Village.

Our classroom consists of 11 students with a large spectrum of abilities and needs.

In addition to our jobs in the community, the student have helped develop a "Coffee Stand," called "But First Coffee."

Students will take teacher orders, make their coffee, and deliver them.

Not only will they be working on vocational skills, they will also be practicing money management, as well as social skills.

My Project

Our student have developed their own coffee stand, "But First Coffee."

Students will be taking teachers drink orders, create, and deliver them.

We have been fortunate enough to have a majority of our supplies donated, everything from cups to delivery carts. All we need now is a Keurig!

Every Tuesday, students will take teachers drink orders, label their cups, make their drink, then deliver and collect money. Drinks will be $1, and all the proceeds will continue to fund our coffee cart.

Our coffee stand will provide students with vocational skills, practice money management, and help develop their social skills.
