Have you ever watched a person blossom in personality? That is what I get to see each time I help my students overcome a boundary in their learning. I love the excitement in their eyes as they start to question the things around them and the satisfaction that they receive from researching and finding a solution. That is what I love about my students. They are inquisitive and creative.
They apply a can-do attitude, building a "yet" perspective.
Many of my students use their creativity to overcome impairments and exceptions that cause them to fidget in order to focus. Siting for hours on end it shear torture for them. Regardless of the setbacks and challenges, they don't let that hold them back. They continue to try new things and learn. They have a special place in my heart.
This project is to provide flexible seating for students that have trouble sitting for hours on end. This allows for productive movement when students are not allowed to go anywhere.
These seats will be used instead of the standard hard, stationary chairs.
They will promote good posture and excessive in a world that requires students to sit a minimum of 4 hours continuously each day without breaks.
The fidget bands will be used on the desks for those students that feel the ball moves more than they would like. The band still gives the students a fidget without over stimulating them.
