Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a group of 3-5 year olds with special needs. They are PreK age, but working on skills below that of their same-aged peers. Some of the children are non-verbal and all have communication needs.

My students have varying needs and benefit greatly from early intervention and experiences with a wide variety of materials to support them as they begin their journey into learning.

They are inquisitive and enthusiastic about learning, despite the challenges they may face. It is such a wonderful feeling to witness the excitement on the faces of these young learners as they take pride in their accomplishments!

My Project

Please help me provide my Special Needs Preschool students with a woodworking center in my classroom.

My student's imaginations will soar as they create and build with Hape's Award Winning Kid's Wooden Tool Bench Toy Pretend Play Creative Building Set, Kid's Wooden Tool Box, Master Builder Wooden Tool Box Set and Master.

While engaging in pretend play alongside their peers, children will also have opportunities to practice communication, social and fine motor skills.

I look forward to developing a woodworking center and know that my students will be so excited to put these materials into action! I can't wait to see my little builders at work!
