My students need the flex-space balance balls and a flex-space rectangular table for collaborative learning during Math and Literacy centers, and to keep the wiggles out.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher at a school with a diverse population. We serve middle-class students, military students, and low-income families. No matter the background, my students come to school ready to learn. They love to learn new things, they love to read, and they love to explore. It is my job to make sure this zest for learning never dies.
My superheroes have encouraged me to grow as a teacher.
They continually surprise me, on a daily basis, with their ability to learn and grasp concepts. I wouldn't change my job in a million years! My students leave an imprint on my heart, for they are kind, affectionate, and loving.
My Project
My students sit for long periods of time everyday. They get antsy and distracted while sitting on the hard plastic chairs. They constantly stand up, move around, and complain. Their minds are not on the task at hand.
I need my busy bees focused, and the wobble balls and flex table will help them do just that!
The wobble chairs will allow my students to move without getting unfocused. The chairs will give them a soft place to sit comfortably. The flex-space table will allow me to have freedom to move my kinders to a quiet place to collaborate and focus on the skill at hand during our learning centers. Having a calm and serene work environment will help my kindergartners to focus and be successful!
