Help me give my students technology to participate at home and in school. The Amazon Fires will help support my students learning that do not have technology at home.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In my classroom, I strive to build a positive school community with my students. For many of my students this is their first educational experience and are navigating the best they can through life challenges at home and school. During this uncertain school year, I am trying to find resources that will benefit my students and stay connected during remote learning. My school is in a poverty stricken area where my school relies on community support to help families in need.
My Project
The Amazon Fires will help connect home and school learning for my students. Many students do not have technology and cannot participate for remote learning. These devices will allow my students to engage in learning opportunities during asynchronous and synchronous learning time. These devices will also connect families to their child's learning in order to monitor and assist in their educational journey. Parents will stay connected to their child's classroom and will be able to stay up to date with important school information. This project will be beneficial to the learning needs of my students.
