My students come to school hungry to learn. They are eager to try new things and to be helpers in any way possible. My students are in a full-inclusion model within the Head Start and Pre-K Counts classroom settings.
My students are unique and special learners.
They are three to five years old and I love to teach them and see them every day. Though they may communicate differently than their peers, or have different needs than their peers, they are EXACTLY like their peers in that they want to make friends and want to learn.
My Project
These activities will be used to specifically help students work on many skills, including but not limited to, social skills, fine motor skills, and specifically working on their IEP goals. Some of the activities include matching shapes and colors which are developmentally appropriate skills for children of this age. This bundle also offers enrichment activities for some of my older students who are at the level to match upper and lower case words.
My young scholars will be totally engaged as they find the appropriate letters, colors, and shapes from the piles and will light up with excitement as they match their pieces.
Have no fear! Students who cannot pull the Velcro will have adaptions and modifications provided for them. This is a great set of activities where students will learn the coveted social skill of sharing, whether it is with me as their teacher or with their friends. "My turn!" and "Your turn!" will be heard throughout these (many of them STEM) activities!!
