Help me give my students volleyballs for their upcomming volleyball season! We started volleyball camp 2 weeks ago with balls that are over 10 years old. Several are busting at the seams or they won’t hold air.
I am the coach at my middle school. My athletes are motivated, compassionate and such hard workers on and off the court! Also, let me tell you.. they LOVE VOLLEYBALL! The girls work so well together as they all have a genuine passion for the sport and care for their teammates.
As their coach, I want them to have the materials they need to succeed and get the best out of the sport.
Athletics are so important in the education field.
My Project
The volleyballs we need for our volleyball program will help the program continue to grow. Currently we have very few balls that are in good condition. This year at camp we had over 40 girls. It is ideal for every girl to have their own ball while doing drills so they can get tons of practice in. Right now, 3 girls are sharing one ball.
Volleyball is a growing sport in Oklahoma, therefore we have more and more girls coming out every season, which means the balls are getting used so much more.
When I started the camp 7 years ago I had under 20 girls attend. Now, I plan on close to 50 every year! I'm hoping for this growth to continue because it gives the young athletes something to do in the summer and something to focus on. In order for the volleyball program to grow... we must have volleyballs!
