My students need a MP3 player and Ukuleles to build our "Lunch time Band" even more. Playing music, dancing together, and making our own music will bring our kids closer.

My Students

Remember those kids on the playground who were a little "different"? At our school we are trying to include all of the students in activities to build awareness of others differences and accept them for who they are.

My students are in 5th grade and work hard to learn and enjoy school.

They are those kids that are "different" in some way. All of the kids at our school try to accept others for who they are. We are part of the school but could use some more opportunities to be included.

My Project

I have asked for 5 ukuleles and 1 MP3 players. Through music, dance and instruments, our students will be able to enjoy each other and participate as equals. Students strengths will be highlighted during a weekly "Lunchtime Band" event. Students from around the school will learn that differences make no difference when people have the same interests.

When kids feel included, safe from bullying and part of a group, they can come to school and be ready to learn.

Positivity at lunch leads to positivity in the learning classroom. This leads to great opportunities to progress.
