Do you remember getting hooked on building your own city when you were a kid? Think of the excitement you felt when you created your own town and created your world to your liking. My students share that excitement and joy of when Legos are presented during our Maker's Space activities. My students are inquisitive, creative developers who are craving to construct the newest adventures in their favorite Maker's Space center.
My students are originative artisans who with their creative imagination inspire others through their development of constructing with Legos.
Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. I am the librarian at a 4-5 intermediate school in an impoverished rural area. Our school library is an essential resource hub for my students. Many of my students do not have access to Maker's Space (Legos) content at home and rely on the library for such activities. Students inquire when will it be their turn for Legos. It is essential to build a whole child. Offering Legos will help develop the whole child.
My Project
To the worlds unknown! Offfering Legos to my students will provide them additional opportunities to sharpen their team work, problem solving, and communication as well as promoting our STEM/STEAM standards.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, communication, and behavior, you will ultimately help to increase academic achievement.
The Art of Play encourages the most hesitant student to join in and become and active member in the project. With Legos, my students will have the exposure of important concepts such as community, roles and responsibilities, systems and roles. A container of Legos opens a world of possibilities for the creative mind to display its beauty. My students
