This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach nine year old students at a fine arts magnet school that includes S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.) My classroom is a community that celebrates each other in our learning and social/emotional growth. We are always working to build relationships and work together to be great leaders in our school and community. They collaborate across the curriculum and love working with each other in groups.
They are engaged in learning most when it is exciting and hands on.
When we are learning hands on activities help us make concrete connections and build from that as we learning many new exciting things! My students love to learn as we bring in the fine arts and S.T.E.A.M. into our learning everyday!
My Project
Writing is something that we do every day. We need lots of supplies to help us make our writing possible. Charts help us when we are writing to give us ways to make what we do better. Highlighters and color pencils making writing a lot of fun! We can use them to edit and color code our reading and writing. We really enjoy writing and need supplies to make us better writers. We love to write and need paper and pencils to make this possible. We use a lot of both to make us better each day!
