The best way to describe my students is: young, high energy, and excited about school. When they enter school this is their first experience, they are kindergartners. My class is made up of boys and girls, all from different backgrounds and cultures. From the first day that they enter the classroom, they remind me of "sponges," with the way they absorb everything they are exposed to. The students are enthusiastic about learning, curious about all subjects, and have an overwhelming joy for coming to school everyday.
My students are enthusiastic about learning, especially reading.
My young students love learning about letters and how they fit together to make words. They are very excited about learning to read and playing literacy games at their reading level.
My Project
In our classroom, my students love learning about letters and how they fit together to make words. They are excited when they are able to build words and read them by themselves. The materials for this project will help my student practice their letter sounds, letter names, and start building words to promote beginning reading skills.
My students are beginning readers who are excited to become strong readers.
The Insta-Learn language boards, letter tiles, and word tiles will allow my students to practice and grow their beginning literacy skills through letter games and building words. The word tiles are perfect for kindergarten students, due to the self-correcting capabilities. The word tiles are similar to puzzles- only the correct letter tile will fit into the picture tile. My students will not only be learning simple words, but how to spell them correctly and read them. The Insta-Learn boards and materials will compliment the reading program used in my classroom and help my student become more confident in their reading skills.
