This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My preschool students bring such joy to our school. Even though they come from low income homes, they know how to brighten up everyone's day.
My preschool students love to learn and complete projects in our classroom.
They are always eager to learn something new. The students are three and four years old who love to learn, play, and listen to stories. My students do not have access to a variety of books and educational supplies in their homes. Our school is located in the inner-city with 100% qualifying for free and reduced-priced lunch with a household median income of $17,000.
My Project
The block center is a very popular center in my classroom. The need for new blocks, cars, car garage and people will help them explore and use their imagination. Having my preschoolers use these materials will help them learn to take turns and share materials, develop new friendships, become self-reliant, increase attention span, cooperate with others, and develop self-esteem.
The students love the block center and are always excited, engaged and learning.
This center is used daily in our classroom. The new blocks, cars, car garage, and people will add to the excitement and joy at this learning center during our day.
