Building Us

Help me give my students' creativity come out to see what they see in STEM!

My Students

What I love about my students is the boldness that they bring to my class, see my students are from a neighborhood that has not allowed them to grow like the kids that they are. At there age they've seen a lot that has effected them. I teach at a underserved school in East Oakland its not easy at times, I've seen the true raw potential that they already have in them that's why I'm here to try to get help for my students to be able to test their true potential. There wall has been set by society by just alone in where they come from. I had a teacher last year that I met with asked what I was teaching at school. I told that person that I teach stem and I focus a lot on robotics his response was that he didn't think we had students that were smart enough to do that. My students make hope real. I'll worked hard to make a difference with them.

My Project

The Small Building Plates and Mindstorms Education EV3 Core Set will help enhance our robotics section. The updated materials have been hard to get because of funding and its also limited us on what we can do because our materials at school are outdated. The Stem projects have been such a growth for my students in every way. Its just hard for me to get materials because I don't make a lot. These materials will help my students development more of an understanding of robotics a growing field in our growing society. It be nice to see my students enter competitions to see other students from around the world to learn from. The Lego set or Lego mind storm will help enhance the students learning of robotics by learning new ways to code or working with other students in groups figuring out different methods to make creative robotics based on their visions. I want my students to feel hope to feel that when everything is not going good that they can come to class and create and speak through their art.
