Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students this year are truly wonderful. I have a mixture of bilingual, English learners and low-income students in my classroom. Although they have different backgrounds and experiences, they come together as a “school family” and make the best of their day, working cooperatively to achieve their daily activities and goals. They are always eager to learn and challenge themselves in everything they do. They love to play and explore the world around them. Some of my students are learning to read while others are just now exploring sounds and expanding their vocabulary.
My Project
Whoa! I can’t explain just how crucial these tools will be in my students’ learning. With these materials all of my learners will be provided a differentiated educational experience. All materials will be used to grow their critical thinking skills along with assisting them on the way they cooperate and achieve a team goal. They will gain an understanding of cause and effect, magnetism, and engineering small machines. Oh I can already picture their excitement with these tools. The Design Builder box can be used not only to build structures but to build letters and explore the straight and curved lines that make up both upper case and lower case letters. Building of letters will increasingly assist my non-writers become familiar with letters and their structure. In addition all of these materials would assist in mathematics, with sorting of colors, shapes, and counting.
