Our school consists of an amazingly diverse student population represented by 28 countries and 21 languages. We have a free and reduced lunch percentage of 84%. They are enthusiastic about learning, polite, and strive to be the best version of themselves they can be.
Our students persevere through adversity and lack of opportunity with character and grit.
Our school is continually striving to give our students opportunities to become leaders. Of the 389 students, 44% of students are English Language Learners and SPED. We continually aspire to offer them the best education that our resources allow us to. Our students are continually striving to improve their lives and community.
My Project
My students come from around the world and they all have their own unique story. As an educator, it is my job not only to teach my students academics but to make sure they are responsible, kind, cooperative, respectful, etc while they are at school.
Books are an excellent way to teach children social and emotional skills while fostering a love of reading!
In today's society, we are seeing a lack of these essential skills. Building a classroom library with books that promote character education is critical to learning for today's students and tomorrow's leaders.
