My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite any challenges my students face, they come in everyday excited and ready to learn!

My students love a challenge and are amazing at working in teams!

They have great engineering minds and are always awaiting to solve any problem I put in front of them. We are striving to learn the importance of technology in our world today. I have a very diverse class with amazing personalities.

My Project

My student will use a robotics kit to design, build and drive a robot. We will be the first robotics team at our school! The students that take part in the Robotics team will take the time to meet after school and will compete in several competitions.

This project will help my students learn to work as a team.

They will learn that everyone has an important role to play. They will also be able to work on their problem solving skills.

Technology is such a major part of our world today. Robotics gives my students a chance to collaborate with each other and overcome obstacles. Students will work hand-in-hand with adults and learn teamwork, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, budgeting, time management, leadership, and real-life problem solving.
