My Project

Aloha! I am a fully self-contained middle school teacher. All of our students have different ways of learning. My students learn differently and our emphasis is building social emotional strategies to cope with their varying needs in unique ways. My students need many different opportunities to learn, so, I'd like to provide structured activities for them to do inside and outside to help them engage with their peers and provide them with the sensory activities they need. I wanted to add some arts and crafts too, this would help them improve hand-eye coordination and motor skills to enhanced their communication and expression and showcase their work by displaying their creations. I also aim to make my classroom like a home, because I'm teaching my students how to be as independent as possible. We do academics too of course, but with some fun twists and added daily skills in cooking, cleaning, laundry, self care, and so many other fun ways!

We are hoping to give these kids the skills they will need to be able to accomplish goals that will be set for them not only in real world life setting but also in the classroom setting.
