Help me give my students furniture and families for our dollhouse to build language and social skills, along with bins to organize and store the materials.

We are a specialized program for students with a variety of needs and challenges in an urban school located in a community that has limited resources. My students have a wide range of needs and strengths, including language. expressive. sensory and gross motor that we focus on throughout the day. As a result, we need more materials, and a wider variety of materials, than a typical classroom, would contain.
Young students are very inquisitive and learn through exploration and hands-on interaction with materials.
This is especially important for social and language skills, since this is a an area of growth for many of my students. These materials will help set the stage for problem-solving and generalizing skills - which help to develop critical thinking and the self-regulation to persevere and work cooperatively. This range of needs makes it necessary to include a variety of materials to allow my students to investigate these important concepts.
Our classroom has a variety of toys and games to encourage language and social-emotional skills. A popular choice for children is the dollhouse, particularly since it can be adapted for multiple themes and used to support the current news of my students. The dollhouse allows children to work through themes that are troublesome at home, practice interactions in a safe setting, or create an ideal setting that they can control. The dollhouse allows for a safe place for children to explore their feelings about home, friends, school, and social relationships.
Your donation of new dollhouse furniture and families will provide our classroom with materials that will facilitate our children's exploration of their internal worlds through concrete play.
