Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are excited to learn, proud of their achievements, and love to show what they can do. They are inquisitive and love to share ideas and experiences with their classmates and me.
Some of my students are helpful, wanting to be a part of making the class ours; some ask questions, wanting to know all they can about the world around them; and others watch quietly, taking in their surroundings and learning as they go.
They are all just really awesome little people!
My Project
We are requesting Magna-tiles, gears, prisms and storage. These materials will allow my students to build and test different structures, through the use of a variety of materials. Through this project, my students will be about to use magnets, shapes, and connecting blocks to create their ideas and test whether their plans will work.
These materials will allow my students the opportunity to take part in the STEM process, allowing them to ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve their designs.
Using manipulatives and various materials allows students to explore different methods for solving problems. My goal is to supply a variety of materials that my students can use their imaginations to create solutions and new ideas.
