Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many of our students receiving free lunch.

I want to provide my students with an enriched resourceful and meaningful learning experience.

Students learn through hands on experiences making play purposeful especially for math development would benefit my young students. Helping children develop mathematical skills by setting up their environment with robust tools such as large magnetic blocks as well as a variety of blocks would enrich their learning. With these tools my students will be able to challenge each other with physical activities and this will strengthen their math understanding. Such as longer, shorter, taller, heavier, shapes, counting, bigger, and smaller and so many more.

The possibilities are endless with the right tools. With these tools and manipulatives, I could make a lesson come alive instead of just talking about it we could practice and put our hypothesis to a test. If I had some of these tools in my classroom I feel my student’s language skills, social skills, mathematical thinking would improve so much. Having these tools and a variety of them would allow me to incorporate more kinesthetic elements to my lessons.

My Project

Young students learn through hands on experiences making play purposeful especially for math development would benefit my young students. With these colorful tools and manipulatives, my students could create and explore three dimensional shapes. These tools could make a lesson come a live! Instead of just talking about it we could practice and put our hypothesis to a test. If I had some of these tools in my classroom I feel my student’s language skills, social skills, mathematical thinking would improve so much. Having these tools and a variety of them would allow me to incorporate more kinesthetic elements to my lessons.
