My students are wonderful kids who are fun loving but work very hard. They come from every walk of life including students with military families, students from very low income families, and students who are english language learners. There are many different needs that we have to address to get every student to a place where they can do their very best.
Our classroom is one where you're find a lot of laughter, love, and hard work.
We have worked to create an environment where we are kind and supportive to each other.
Students who love to read will become lifelong readers. It is my goal as a teacher to help all of my students learn to love reading. One of the most important parts achieving that goal is to have easy access to a lot of "just right books". That means that I need to spend a lot of time organizing books into levels the kids are comfortable reading. The book baskets I have picked out will ensure each student knows just where to go to find their perfect book so that they may begin another reading adventure.
Students are also very curious about the places they read about.
I have included a globe to allow the students to be able to find their books destination in a real-world way.
