Do you remember creating and dreaming as a child? What creative learning experiences did you enjoy as a child? My second grade students are so curious and love to build! They come to school excited and ready to learn. One of the best parts of my day is greeting them and hearing how they are doing. I am usually greeted with the question "What do we get to do today, teacher?" How fun would it be to surprise them with a few Lego sets! The group of students I have in class this year is especially create and love the few Legos I have purchased at local garage sales over the past few summers. I would love to surprise them with more Lego's so they would be able to really design, imagine and create whatever they would like to create.
Our young learners today are our leaders tomorrow! Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are so important in our world today and we need to allow kids to discover and create when their minds are young. Legos will give my students the materials to imagine, design and create in a educational, yet fun way!
Students will also be able to choose Legos that interest them.
The best way to increase imagine and curiosity is to create more, and these Legos will continue to help my students grow stronger in their creative building skills. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in building and creativity, this project will only help enrich their experiences.
