My students need Build me emotion LEGOs, creative LEGO build set, and math train. LEGOs to teach us how to use fine motor skills and academic skills at the same time.
Did you know LEGOs are the best and most interesting toy, as well as they have been around a really long time. My students love to make castles, create roads, and build a home for us to use our doll house figures in. But the problem is that we don't have Legos, we currently use my daughters old Legos. As a teacher in a head start classroom, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences
My classroom has two sessions, an AM and PM one, with 16 children in each.
My students have speech and language delays as well as cognitive delays. They attend school four days a week and work on school readiness goals. This means that children are ready for school, families are ready to support their children's learning, and schools are ready for children. The majority of the children in my classroom come from low-income homes, and this is their first exposure in a school setting.
My Project
We need Build Me Emotions LEGOs, creative LEGO build set, and math train. LEGOs to teach us how to use fine motor skills and academic skills at the same time. This project is designed for students to use LEGOs to increase their knowledge of community helpers, urban and rural living as well as provide opportunities for increasing social and exploring pretend play. The children will have the opportunity to recreate fairy tales, create vehicles and design the future as architects. We need LEGOs to just free create and allow our minds to take over.
If you believe in someone then let them create and be their own person.
There is an art to meaningful pretend play.
Children will have the opportunity to collaborate with one another and create a mini LEGO play. Children will be able to increase small motor skills by collaborating together and building a community. This community will have helpers which children may encounter on a regular basis. With these materials children will learn about their community, become aware of what country living may consist of and gain skills to collaborate with other children in the classroom.
