My students choose to be a part of our choral program each year and are able to participate in many unique events throughout the year. This year our choral program consists of over 180 students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th that meet on a daily basis all year long. During our regular class time the chorus students learn music reading skills and choral music in a variety of styles. All students participate in two major chorus concerts and a school assembly during the year. Select chorus students also participate in music festivals and special events throughout the year.
Help me build my choral library to give my students the opportunity to sing quality music that they will enjoy now and in the future.
The music purchased will be used this year and in the coming years to provide the students with a wide variety of music to sing. By obtaining new pieces in our choral library all current and future chorus students will benefit from this purchase. The chorus students will be more successful if they are provided with quality music to sing and learn from.

A choral library is a very important element to a successful choral program. The chorus students will be more successful if they are provided with quality music to sing and learn from. Within their music reading and choral singing the students are able to integrate math and reading skills into the choral classroom everyday.
By providing my students with quality music from the building of our choral library, they are becoming better musicians and choral singers.
I would like to purchase this variety of song selections in order to build and supplement existing music in my school choral library. My students and I will rehearse some of the selected songs during our class time and then perform these songs at some of our spring events. With an extended selection of songs in our choral library, the chorus students will be able to experience different styles and genres of music, including music in different languages.
