Building Oral Language Development And Pretend Play With A Dollhouse!
Help me give my students a new dollhouse, dolls, and pretend pets to use in the dollhouse center to encourage dramatic play and oral language development.
My students are fun-loving, eager learners! They come to class every day ready for a new adventure! My class is a blended VPK class with 6 ESE (Exceptional Students Education) and 12 VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) students who have a variety of learning needs.
The best part of teaching VPK is seeing the excitement on their faces when they realize that they have mastered a new or challenging skill!
The students in my class learn best from hands-on, exciting and engaging experiences daily!
My Project
I would like to replace my current dollhouse, furniture, and some of the people. My current dollhouse has a broken floor, some broken furniture and people. It is well loved and could use some freshening up.
My students love the dollhouse center!
It is a great way to increase oral language development and pretend play. It is also a great way to work on caring and sharing with classmates.
I would love to provide updated items in the dollhouse center that will encourage creativity and oral language development, as they pretend play with the people and animals in the dollhouse center.
