My Students

These wonderful little five and six-year-old children come from a high poverty community. They come to school to be creative, learn, and make connections. I love to see their faces each morning, filled with smiles and excitement for the day of learning that is about to occur. Some of the children in the classroom are students with learning and emotional disabilities, so making our classroom enriched with materials for everyone is so important to me.

These children come to school for a safe and enriched environment, to learn and make friends.

I try to allow as much creativity and hands-on experiences for them to explore and use problem-solving techniques with their peers.

My Project

These resources will allow the children materials to build new learning spots. They will be able to build Jack and Annie's treehouse, one of the three pigs' houses, a boat, the ideas are endless. We cover so many books and adventures through The Magic Treehouse, these resources would allow them to build the means of transportation involved in all the amazing adventures.

Help me give these little ones resources to bring back working with friends to problem solve and to be creative and use their imaginations.
