My students need model rockets as our culminating activity for our unit on space exploration.
This project expired on April 4, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students will enjoy the hands-on experience of building their own model rocket and seeing it launch into the sky.
My students are in the fifth grade and are between the ages of ten and eleven years old.
They are interested in the subject of science and are fascinated by the topic of space exploration. The model rocket building activity would involve each one of the students building their own rocket and launching it into the sky. The students would be able to see their hard work pay off as their rocket flew through the sky. Our school is a close knit group of teachers and students. All of the students in the school would be invited to watch the rockets being launched.
The students will build the rockets provided by the kits and with my assistance. After the rockets are finished we will take them outside to an open field and launch the rockets. The activity will be the final project in our study of space and space exploration. We will also discuss some of the properties of physics involved in the launching of a rocket.
This is an experience that the students will remember for years to come.
My students will enjoy constructing the rockets themselves and seeing their hard work pay off during the launch.
