In my 4th grade classroom we work every day to master our standards.
My students are energetic, lovable, and inspiring.
Every day they do their best to master our standards. It is my goal to make learning as enjoyable as possible, so many of our daily lessons involve students engaged in their learning, moving around the classroom as they learn the material.
A few years ago I learned about using Mentor Sentences in my classroom. The premise is that by sharing a well written picture book with students, even older students, you can teach grammar, reading comprehension, and writing structure in an engaging way. I have used Mentor Sentences for the last few years and I have seen the difference it has made, and I want to continue to do so by expanding our classroom library to include more wonderful texts such as these.
Please consider donating to my project.
My students deserve to have more access to books that will increase their comprehension in Reading, Grammar, and Writing. These books will be used for years and will impact the next generation. Thank you!
